MarioKart is Still a Big Selling Wii Video Game

Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel is still one of the most popular Nintendo Wii games. My step-children love this game. I will play it every once in a while. They love it, because they know that they can beat the old man.
The two boys will play it for an hour or two after they get home from school. If I am home and and have a little time I will join them in a game. Four people can play at once and you can play online. This is great because they can play against other extended family members.

Check out this video I have put together.

Exergaming - A New Term an Old Term For Everybody Else

The term exergaming has been around since the ‘80. It wasn’t until the ‘90 with Dance Dance Revolution that it became popular, and now with the Nintendo Wii it has become a household name. 90% of my exercise is with the Nintendo Wii, with Wii Fit, Wii Sports, and Active Life: Outdoor Challenge. Next week it looks like I will be replacing Wii Sports with Gold’s Gym Cardio Workout. I will be writing several articles over the next week about exergaming. It is actually turning into a fascinating subject, especially for us middle age people. I remember goint to the gym when I was a lean mean fighting machine, but my body has gone to pot. My abs are now round and hideous. At 25 my waist was a size 32, now I can barely get it below size 40. The list goes on. I would not dare go to a gym looking like this, but now with exergaming, I can do it in the luxury of my living room.
I do ride my bicycle now in the spring, mostly to get outside, but for the most part, I use the Nintendo Wii, and it works. During the winter here in the Northeast I depended upon it. I did not ride my bike from last November until last week, because of all the snow, and cold weather. But I still depend upon my Nintendo Wii for most of my exercise.

I am have been working on the idea of setting a Nintendo Party System idea, like the DJ idea. Large HD TVs, a Nintendo Wii for each of several rooms, and let people party. There are lots of Nintendo Wii Dance Games, that can be played. During the Christmas Holidays, we would play Samba De Amigo for almost 7 days and everybody had a great time.
Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2 with Dance Mat is another party game that can get people up and dancing. We have this game and the teenage children are constantly playing it. And it is good fun for everybody.

Guitar Hero World Tour, Great Music

Guitar Hero World Tour, was one of our purchases when I got my tax return. While I have played it, the children have are having a gas with this game. Every evening after they get home from school, they grab the guitar, drums and mic and start playing. I have to be restrained from cranking the music up on the entertainment unit. It is so hard to believe that the old man is being told by his step children to keep the music down. The children unlocked some Tool’s songs, and now start their music off playing one or two Tool songs for the old fart, which I greatly appreciate.
If you have been brought up and you have been spoon fed on Rock and Roll, this is a good game to get for the whole family.

Guitar Hero World Tour has really brought the family together, because my girlfriend will sing with the kids on the weekend. So, Guitar Hero World Tour could be classified as good old fashion family entertainment.

Animal Crossing City Folk

Animal Crossing: City Folk with Wii Speak is actually a fun little game. I wouldn’t play it for the first few days, but now I play it almost every day. It is actually fun for the whole family. We will visit other members of the family, no matter how far away they live and talk and joke with them over Wii Speak as our little avatars run around fishing or planting trees. The kids love it as well as the adults. Animal Crossing: City Folk with Wii Speak is vastly more constructive than all of those shoot ‘em games. I really didn’t think that I would enjoy the game, but it is a lot of fun. Tomorrow there will be a fishing tourney, but I do not think that I will be available to participate. So, for a good old fashion game, purchase Animal Crossing: City Folk with Wii Speak now and have lots of good old fashion family fun.

Wii Fit - One of the Best and Easiest Ways to Burn Calories and Lose Weight

I use the Wii Fit to lose weight. During the second half of 2008 I lost 19 lbs. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I worked at it during December I gained 5 lbs. All that good food. I will be working hard at losing the weight over the next few months. You can purchase the Wii Fit with Hardware and Bag Bundle for Nintendo Wii. Now! Click here!.
You can see much of what I have written about Wii Fit over at Squidoo.I have been using Wii Fit since it came out in May. I really enjoy the exercises that uses, especially the aerobic exercises. The jogging is excellent for working up a sweat. Jogging on the spot can burn 580 calories in 45 minutes. I can also watch some CSI shows that I may of missed. Every since we have gotten Animal Crossing: City Folk with Wii Speak it has become almost impossible to watch my CSI shows on the TV.

Shaun White Snowboarding and The Wii Fit Balance Board is a Great Combination

. The Nintendo Wii has come along way in the two years since it’s release in 2006. I remember sitting with family members and friends complaining about the lack of games that were available for the Wii when it first came out. There are many new and exciting games being released on a regular basis by third party developers, that is absolutely mind boggling. Some are trash. There are average games. Then there are games that rise above the cream, and Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip is one of those games.
.
Nintendo released one of the most successful games in May of 2008 Wii Fit, (there are still shortages of this game). This game utilized one of the most sensitive, intuitive game controllers - the Wii Fit Balance Board available for the Nintendo Wii. The first game, other than Wii Fit, that used the Balance Board was Wii Ski. a fun game to play on the balance board. It is truly enjoyable but it is a little limited, as you can only shift your weight from left to right.
At this point in time Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip is the only game, other than Wii Fit, that has fully utilized the Wii Fit balance board. There are four sensitive quandrants that are used to shift your weight on the balance board as you snowboard. Giving you a feeling that you are going down the scenic trails shifting you weight from left or right or forward or even backwards. . You can shift your weight on the balance board and use the remote to do snowboarding tricks. This game is one of the most interactive games that any company has put out for the Nintendo Wii. While you are playing this game you will not notice the parts of your body being worked, but in the morning you will notice tightness in your thighs and abdominal muscles.
At the beginning of the game you will pick your snowboarder and your camera-person and start on your snowboarding expedition in beautiful mountain resorts in Canada. You can work your way through Alaska, Europe and Japan. .
The graphics for this game are not that bad, but the Wii does not compare to the Xbox or PS3 for graphics. The Nintendo Wii excels in player interaction, therefore the Wii gamer is more forgiving when it comes to lower quaility graphics.

So, rise above the usual couch potato gamer mentality, and get involved in your snowboarding with Nintendo Wii Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip. Apparently, Shaun White is working with UBI Soft to put out Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip 2. I can not wait!

I Had A Good Wii Sports Christmas This Year

I did quite well with for a Wii Christmas this year. I will be putting up videos here for the next little while. I played Top Spin 3,Active Life Outdoor Challenge and Shaun White Snowboarding. These games are a lot of fun and I should also get a lot of good old fashion exercies. The Shaun White Snowboarding looks a lot better than Wii Ski. I almost got as good a workout with Shaun White Snowboarding as I did with Wii Sports Boxing.

Welcome to the Wii Blog

Welcome to the Wii Blog. It is almost Christmas, and I can not wait to see all the Wii games that I will be getting. I will have to fight with my step-children in order to gain access to the wii. I do have one advantage though, I get up early in the morning, thanks to two cats who are my 4:30 am alarm clock. . They are lucky if they can rise out of bed before noon on their days off.
Buying Wii Games for me is easy. If it has anything to do with sports, I will receive it. Sports games are great on the Wii.
You can stand and hold the Wii Remote like a golf club with Tiger Woods Golf.

It is a great game. All the problems I have in real golf, I have with Tiger Woods Golf. My putting game has much to be desired. You can work your way through the amateur ranks through to the professional games.
There are lots of skills that you can perfect with Tiger Woods Golf, like the all-new Shot Confidence feature uses factors from your previous rounds—including club selection, lie, hole, and more—to determine your confidence heading into each shot. This is great for helping you to advance from one round to the next.
While there is the stay cool under pressure element in the game, such as the taunting mechanisms allow players to throw each other off their game, you will never see this in the real game of golf.
You can use the PGA tour mode to build a golfer from the ground up in the most in-depth Career mode ever. Go from an inexperienced rookie to a crafty TOUR veteran on your way to becoming the world’s most dominant golfer.
There is the FedEx Cup Playoff Courses - I still have not played this. You can experience the all-new FedEx Cup championship format by playing a dream round at Westchester Country Club, TPC Boston, Cog Hill, and East Lake.
Play PGA and LPGA Pros including Tiger Woods, John Daly, and Vijay Singh, plus Annika Sorenstam, Natalie Gulbis, Christie Kerr, and Morgan Presse

This game will keep you involved. Which Tiger Woods Golf should you buy? Buy the Tiger Woods 08. You can purchase it for $28+. There does not seem to be much improvement in Tiger Woods 09 to make it worth your while. So save yourself 20 bucks and get Tiger Woods Golf 2008
